Starting from 1 November 2010 Latvian citizen and non-citizen passports issued for 50 years are not valid for travelling outside the Schengen Area!
As of 1 July 2008 Latvian citizens passports issued before 30 June 2002 are not valid for travelling to any country, including Latvia
British Overseas Territories citizens, British Overseas citizens, British Nationals (Overseas), British Protected Persons, British Subjects and Holders of Refugee travel documents issued in United Kingdom under the terms of the 1951 Refugee convention (blue coloured documents) do need to apply for a visa to enter Latvia.
